Wellington based indie-pop artist RIIKI has released today her debut single One Day, a brilliant piece of music. I really like the quirky melodies which showcase creativity and dazzle. Moreover, RIIKI’s vocal performance is grandiose; she has such a nice timbre in her voice. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the catchy chorus and the innovative rhythms!
The lyrics, just like the sound, are very impressive. RIIKI explains, “The track is about desiring that one day something you really want will be right where you want it to be, whether that is a dream, goal or a person. You dream about it so much that it absorbs every part of your brain, wishing you had it. The track ultimately puts you in a dream state thinking about your own One Day thoughts.”
You can not deny that RIIKI has made incredibly good music. One Day has all the facets of a modern gem, so be sure to stream it as soon as possible and feel free to sing along while listening!
