Toronto-based synth alt-pop duo YSSY (singer-songwriter/producer Elliot Caroll and versatile multi-instrumentalist/producer Simeon Abbott) is back with their new single At Least We Know, an awesome track. I really like the disco-inspired instrumentation. Besides, the rhythms are innovative and reveal thoughtful artistic choices. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the quirky vocal performance!
The story behind the track is just like the sound very impressive. Elliot Caroll says about it, ”Simeon (Abbott) and I wrote At Least We Know about allowing yourself to try again and start something new, even when you think you know how it’s going to turn out. Our past experiences can colour how we approach future relationships, but if you go for it anyway, you’ll never have to wonder. This song is the realist’s anthem for living and loving without regret.”
You can not deny that YSSY has made incredibly good music again, so be sure to stream At Least We Know as soon as possible and feel free to sing along!
