Cheska Moore has released today her new single Boy Who Tried, an amazing piece of music. I really like the modern beats which create multiple landscapes full of unique sounds. Besides, the chorus is very powerful and showcases new artistic expressions. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the grandiose vocal performance!
Speaking about the track, Cheska says: ”On first listen I’m sure the listener would assume the song is about a boy trying hard to be with a girl who doesn’t want him, which is not 100% accurate. The song is about not feeling worthy to be loved by someone who is so willing to try, hence Boy Who Tried. This is most evident in the bridge of the song which is trying to act as a deterrent/warning for the ‘Boy’, for example the lyrics state ‘There’s no finish once we start, pull you in pick you apart‘ and ‘you can’t help me if I can’t help myself‘, not meant as terms of endearment. Cheska continues, ”Not feeling worthy to be loved seems to be a common theme in many people and relationships I see around me. Many times pride gets in the way and can stop people from releasing the problems that stem from this underlying feeling. The hope is that people hear this song and can relate to it, and in turn feel understood.”
You can say without any doubt that Boy Who Tried has all the elements of a modern gem, so make sure to stream it as soon as possible!
Do not hesitate and add Boy Who Tried to your playlist(s).
