Introducing: Dom McAllister – Camouflage

Brought up in London to parents haling from Scotland and the Philippines, Dom might initially strike you as shy, introverted and perhaps overly humble. That humbleness however evaporates the second he steps on stage and opens his mouth. After opening stints with Izzy Bizu and Rationale on their acclaimed UK/European tours and his recent sell-out headline show at London’s Waiting Room, Dom is on course to release his hotly anticipated debut EP Low On A Wave which has Modern Pop Star written all over it.

Dom his new single Camouflage is a brilliant piece of music. I adore the unique beat which showcase modern artistic insights. Besides, Dom his vocals know to shine until the last note, he has such a powerful voice. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic chorus and the quirky rhythms!

Speaking about the track, Dom says: “Camouflage begins at a dark place but leads to something empowering; control. It’s easy to go off the rails and lose control at times. It’s not as easy to remind ourselves not to get into our heads. Sometimes it takes some sort of rock bottom to get there”, he continues, “PTSD from war was used as a metaphor to symbolise feeling stuck in depression. Army references describe the thought processes of giving up and covering up. Paying attention and taking care of yourself helps us to do better for the ones around us.”

Camouflage is a track with an amazing sound, so make sure to stream it as soon as possible and feel free to sing along with Don!
