Eliza released her debut album Future in 2018, receiving praised from the likes of Rolling Stone, MOJO, Refinery29 and The Sunday Times. Named a Rising Star of 2019 by the BBC, her reputation for powerful live shows has seen her touring extensively, playing dates with the likes of Kate Tempest, Oh Wonder, Lucy Rose, James Bay, and Turin Brakes. She has also collaborated with award-winning poet Anthony Anaxagorou and contemporary jazz group Hansu-Tori and is a founding member of seven-year-strong female arts collective Girls Girls Girls, which works to empower women within the arts, and to raise awareness and funding for the anti-female genitalmutilation charity Orchid Project.

Girls is a track from Eliza’s upcoming EP and it sounds grandiose. I really like the unique guitar riffs which create bright atmospheres. Besides, the construction of the chorus is amazing. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of Eliza’s soft, breathy vocals.

Talking about the track, Eliza elaborates, “it lays bare how scary it was, standing on the sidelines, growing older, watching someone deal with some insanely hard human experiences, unable to find a way to connect with them about it.”

You can not deny that Eliza has made a brilliant piece of music, Girls showcases so many artistic elements. Be sure to stream it as soon as possible!
