Born 1991 in the hills of the, Bündnerland’ Martina grew up with earthy, traditional Swiss folk music and was already yodelling on big stages as an eleven-year-old. Fourteen-year-old Martina discovered her love for folk and pop music, Eva Cassidy, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. She began performing cover songs, accompanying herself on the guitar, and composed her first song as a sixteen-year-old.
When The Curtains Finally Part is Martina’s new single and it sounds amazing. I really like the unique melodies which create grandiose landscapes. Besides the vocals are very powerful until the last note. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic chorus and the well-written lyrics!
