Drifting is their new single and it sounds amazing. I really like the energetic melodies which create bright atmospheres. Besides, the chorus is very powerful. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the delicate vocal performance!
Lyrically, Julia and the Basement Tapes know to impress. Drifting is about finally realising you are on your way away from a relationship and being reliefed to finally be brave enough to say it out loud. It’s really a break up song but from a positive point of view. No hard feelings, just a feeling of weight lifting from your shoulders.
