Nothing comes between Anja Kotar and her curiosity. The 22-year-old Berklee graduate has led a life of persistent pragmatism, leading directly to her career today. Her new releases will explore the relationship between youth and technology; speaking from her own experiences, she delivers a mature, nuanced perspective on contemporary life.
House Party is Anja Kotar’s new single and it sounds very impressive. I adore the crystal clear vocals. Besides, the modern pop melodies are impressive. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic chorus!
The single is accompanied by an amazing music video, directed by Jani Ugrin.
When asked about ‘House Party’, Anja stated: “I wrote the song a few months ago when I was home alone and decided to have a nice evening in. I put on my favourite robe, ordered some pizza, grabbed some chocolate raisins, sat on the couch, and started looking through Netflix to figure out what I was going to watch. As I was scrolling through the options and eating my chocolate raisins, a random, joke song idea popped into my head: “I don’t wanna go out, I just want to stay at home / Wear my favourite robe, tonight I’m partying alone.” It took me a few seconds to realize that actually sounded like a legit song, so I ran to my piano and wrote the rest of what is now House Party.
You can say without any doubt that House Party has all the elements of a hit. Start streaming it as soon as possible and feel free to sing along while listening!
