Shut Me Down is the first single off their upcoming EP and it sounds amazing. I really like the catchy melodies. Besides, the vocals are phenomenal. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic chorus!
The song is lyrically impressive. Shut Me Down was written by Petty Party songwriter/producer/mixing engineer Michael Leto about a relationship that had ended the week before. The girl would still say she missed him even after she moved in with somebody new, and Michael asked her to shut him down so he wouldn’t have any more hope. The lyrics are taken directly from their conversation.
You can say without any doubt that Shut Me Down has all the elements of a hit. Be sure to stream it as soon as possible!
