LA-based singer/songwriter emlyn had already begun to make a name for herself writing for major label artists such as Eben (Atlantic), Rachel Crow (BMG), and Hailey Knox (BMG). Now she’s stepping out and fusing her influences into a sound that’s all her own.
emlyn has recently released her debut single Had Me at Hello and it is an amazing piece of music. I really like the delicate vocals. Besides, the pop melodies are innovative. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic chorus!
On the single, emlyn says: “Had Me at Hello is a story about a toxic relationship I had in my life and is sonically an amalgamation of who I am. Contradictory lyrics, ideas, and sounds. Girls are so often expected to fit into a box – like being the likable pretty girl, the intellectual studious type, or dark and grungy – but I think we’re more dynamic than that… I’m all of the above.”
emlyn is a rising star, she makes music with strong messages. Had Me at Hello has all the elements of modern art. Be sure to stream it as soon as possible!
Do not hesitate and add Had Me at Hello to your playlist(s).
