HARINA is a German-born, London-based singer-songwriter who left behind her future as a dentist in 2016 to move to London, jumping into the deep end in pursuit of her dream to become a contemporary pop icon, and she’s well on her way. She navigated to a bachelors degree at BIMM London and her natural talent was soon spotted, signing to Universal sub-label Polydor with her duo project ‘Zazoo’, shortly after.
Nothing is HARINA’s first official single and it sounds amazing. I like the quirky melodies. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the dynamics and unique textures.
Speaking to the motivation behind Nothing, HARINA shares: ”In the past, other people’s expectations have led me into confusion and made me lose my Intuition when making important decisions. The wrong guidance has pulled me away from my initial plans and put me into a state of self-doubt. We live in a society and I work in an industry where Profit is everything. the Ultimate advantage is a hefty pocket. Hence people in powerful positions can make empty promises and sell faulty dreams in their boundless thirst for money by packaging them as the one-way ticket to success.”
