Bobbi is the alter ego of Dutch singer and international model Margriet Planting, who toured the world as a member of the band Zazi. Together with Zazi, Bobbi performed shows all across the globe: the American Westcoast, Canada, Cape town, Sint Petersburg and South Korea. Zazi also performed as the support act for Charles Aznavour during his concert in Amsterdam. Bobbi also supported the shows of Nouvelle Vague during their tour in The Netherlands.
She released today her new single L’Homme de Fer and it sounds amazing. I like the powerful melodies. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the dynamic elements and unique textures.
Lyrically, the song is very impressive. L’Homme de Fer is an ode to Bobbis ex-boyfriend. In this song she describes his character full of fire and is kindly mocking and teasing him. Even though he seems tough Bobbi knows, he actually has a big heart.
The single is accompanied by a spectacular music video. The visuals are on another level. In the video: Bobbi is portraited as a superhero, she sees right through him and reveals his soft side. The character Bunny is disarming him. The whole story is based on the relationship Bobbi has had with him 10 years ago.
Bobbi is such a talented artist, she never disappoints. Her style showcases creativity. L’Homme de Fer has all the facets of a true masterpiece. The track is captivating from start to finish, you want to hear it over and over again.
