Drawing from the likes of Allen Stone, Lianne La Havas, Emily King, Amos Lee, and the Los Angeles music scene, Samantha Schultz brings to the table her own brand of musical authenticity with a soulful sound uniquely formed through the growth and experiences of this Canadian girl in an American world.
Out of My Head is Schultz’s first release in 10 years and it sounds amazing. I like the unique guitar riffs. Besides, the vocals are just perfect. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the smooth drums.
On the single, Shultz says: ”Initially a love song, it was flipped on its head to be about finding your self-confidence and letting go of the things in your life that may be in your comfort zone, but don’t actually work for you. The live off-the-floor vibe provided by this band of some of my closest friends captures the authentic & raw elements of my music that I hope listeners can relate to, with soul and jazz as the driving force behind the rebirth of my music.”
