Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.

HEIGHTS is a producer and songwriter who is originally from Congleton, a small Town outside of Manchester. However in her late teens she headed down to Brighton to pursue music. Drawing on inspiration from the likes of Nao, Nujabes, alt-j and James Blake to name a few, HEIGHTS has developed her own sound which is a fusion of Lo-fi Pop and Electronic music with a touch of R&B at times. She has performed on Sofar Sounds as part of the Brighton based collective MACAQ as well as a number of other shows. HEIGHTS is currently working on her debut EP.

Let Down is her second single and it sounds awesome. I like the dynamic melodies. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the powerful hooks.

On the single, HEIGHTS says: ”Let Down came out of a phase of self-deprecation which I know a lot of people can relate to,”she says of the self-produced track. “It’s easy to feel but can be hard to find a cause, so this song is an acknowledgement of those feelings.”

HEIGHTS is such a talented artist, she’s so creative and artistic. Let Down has all the elements of modern art. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
