23-year-old pop singer-songwriter Kimmie Devereux making her way into the music world supporting and showing pride being a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Better Off is her second single and it sounds awesome. I like the unique guitar riffs. Besides, the hooks are powerful. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the dynamic elements and crystal clear vocals.
On the single, Devereux says ”I wrote this song for my best friend who needed help knowing her worth while moving on from an ex. I wanted it to be more than just a break-up song, but a song that brings a mix of nostalgia and hope for the future. I also used pronouns that are not typical for female artists in a break up song because I wanted to open the door to LGBTQ+ songwriting. This is an uplifting self-love anthem that I hope helps people know they are worthy of great love one day.”
Devereux makes music with her soul, she’s so inspiring. Better Off defines modern art. Make sure to stream it as soon as possible!
