Taking cues from Four Tet’s sampling trickery and the layered production of Sophie, LUNA is a rising star of UK electronica and one of the brightest talents in Liverpool’s fertile and eclectic scene.
Night Drive is a single from her upcoming debut EP Hello Earth and it sounds so good. I like the synths. Besides, the vocals are out of this world. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the powerful hooks and dynamic elements.
The single is accompanied by a fantastic music video, filmed and edited by Robin Clewley Photography.
Speaking about the track, LUNA says: ”When I wrote Night Drive I was back home, which always makes me feel nostalgic as it is. It kinda does what it says on the tin – I was sitting in the back of my friend’s car staring out of the window at the endless black sky, thinking about past relationships that had failed me and people I had lost. It’s the sound-track to those lonely twilight hours of contemplation.”
