OLI is a London based alt-pop songwriter with influences from Melanie Martinez and Stereophonics.
She recently released her new single Happy and it sounds so good. I like the smooth melodies. Besides, the vocals are out of this world. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the bright atmosphere and dynamic chorus.
Lyrically, the song is absolutely incredible. Happy is an ode to the unhappy, and an acknowledgement of the helplessness of those around them.
The single is accompanied by a fantastic music video, made by Heini Susanne.
On the single, OLI says: ”I wrote it about a family member who was really stressed, and really overwhelmed. No matter what I said to them, it didn’t matter, they were in their own little world of anxiety. And all I could offer were words of encouragement but I knew I couldn’t do any more than that.
