Carmen Marie is a singer/songwriter from Croydon, London. With influences heavily drawn to Neo Soul, Carmen’s personifying soulful tone and personal capture of melodic ‘alternative’ slow jams give the ever-evolving singer the ambiguity beyond that of a conventional artist.
Need Love is the debut video from Carmen’s recently released debut EP Soul Ties and it looks stunning. The visuals are on point.
In the music video, Carmen sings about the phase most people endure following an intense break up. She refers to excessive drinking, heavy partying and magnified socialising in order to find ways to avoid the healing and reflecting process.
The clip is directed by Nu Jae. He created something artistic. The video defines creativity.
