On the single, Liila says: ”Sometimes in life we do things to sabotage ourselves, against our own best interests. And later on… we regret and self-blame. We end up concealing our true selves from the world, and worst of all, from our own. We end up hiding behind a persona or a facade that makes us feel a bit safer for now, but actually hurts us in the long run.
This song is about uncovering that shield, facing reality, and self forgiveness — it’s an encouragement to “show yourself” to yourself — That it’s okay, you made mistakes, and you hurt me, but I know that you’re hurt as well, and it’s okay to forgive each other, and turn around, so we can be aligned as one. The song is a message anyone can use to self-reflect and give their soul the time and space to heal and be free.”
