midori jaeger just released her debut EP Look at Us.
The last song Forest on the mini-album is a real gem. I like the uplifting elements. Besides, the soulful influences are impressive. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the bright vocals and mellow grooves.
Speaking about the track, midori says: ”In a world where we’re overloaded with information regularly, through technological devices or through physical urban spaces, we can lose touch with what it means for one person to really be there and listen in a time of need. This song is an exploration of the power of listening, and togetherness. While writing Forest I visualised a huge mass of dark green trees with two people in the centre.”
