Introducing: INU INU – Cubed

INU INU is a Dutch/English dream pop band heavily influenced by the best sounds of the 80’s combined with the raw production of modern day indie DIY bands.

They just released their new single Cubed and it’s so good. I like the quirky melodies. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the solid chorus and melancholic atmosphere.

The single is accompanied by a fantastic music video, directed by Lester Kamstra. The clip shows different locations in and around the inner city of Utrecht; empty and almost lifeless places which simultaneously illustrate both the feelings of claustrophobia as well as isolation which are (ever)present in city life. The video seeks to explore the feeling of intense emptiness one might experience from these places, although this is also cleverly juxtaposed against the idea that there is ever present life in these crowded urban spaces.

INU INU’s music creates such a connection with the listener. Cubed deserves all the attention. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
