Tianda just released her new single My God and it’s so good. I like the innovative guitar riffs. Besides, the vocals are powerful. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the smooth drums and soulful influences.
Lyrically, the song is very impressive. It’s about all of the things Tianda couldn’t say when she was younger because she didn’t understand them yet.
On the single, Tianda says: ”For most of my life, I have struggled with obsessive compulsive disorder and insecurities about self-image. Because of this, going on a reality TV show as a child had a huge impact on me. I think we all have thoughts (like bullies), or trauma, or experiences we can’t let go of that pop up into our minds when we’re lying in bed at night or listening to music alone. The hook of “they won’t let me go” repeating over and over captures the feeling of being held captive by thoughts you don’t understand and can’t control.
I want this song to reinforce that nobody is above having a bad day, or a bad month, or a bad year. Everybody has a mental health story to tell, and if someone tells you they are struggling, the most important thing you can do is simply believe them.”
Tianda’s message is extremely powerful, she’s so inspiring. My God deserves all the attention. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
