New York born and Sydney bred dark-pop artist Valencia James makes music for those in need. With a catalogue of songs inspired by real life events, Valencia is on a mission to give listeners something real, organic and true.
She just released her debut EP Light & Shade.
The second song Ebb & Flow on the mini-album is a real gem. I like the edgy synths. Besides, the hooks are powerful. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the energetic vocals and dynamic elements.
Lyrically, the song is very impressive. It’s about how we ride out the waves of life.
Speaking about the track, Valencia says: ”No matter what, I’m going to live and take risks for a better future rather than playing it safe. Life is always going to throw you curveballs, but it’s all about how you handle them and keep moving forward.”
