Ryan Cassata is an award winning singer-songwriter, actor, performer, writer, LGBTQ activist and motivational speaker based in Los Angeles.
He just released his new album The Witches Made Me Do It.
The third song Catcher in the Rye on the record is a real gem. I like the powerful vocals. Besides, the guitar riffs are unique. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the subtle cinematic influences.
Lyrically, the song is very impressive. Catcher in the Rye is about falling in love after a traumatic past filled with violent hate crimes and bullying in Ryan’s conservative hometown on Long Island.
Catcher in the Rye is paired with a meaningful music video. In the clip Ryan goes back to his hometown (Bay Shore, NY) and visit some of the places that hurt him the most as a young queer/trans person.
Ryan always makes good music, he’s so inspiring. Catcher in the Rye deserves all the attention. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
