Regarding the single, Sini says: “Contagious was inspired by dream I had as a little girl. All the people I loved were turning into these insect like monsters, and if I touched them, I would turn into one too. I had to either leave everything I know, or succumb into becoming a monster. This dream was so symbolic to me, I sort of saw it everywhere. This song represents me confronting all the toxicity in the world, including in myself, fighting its infectious nature, and fighting to find the light.”
