Parisa is a singer, songwriter and actress from North London.
After releasing two debut solo singles in 2019, Parisa returns with a new project, Working From Home – a collection of 29 songs written and recorded on her bedroom floor in February 2020. Working From Home initially began, not as a project, but as an exercise in creativity. Setting herself the challenge of creating an original song every day for 29 days, Parisa unlocked a flow in herself never experienced before. Freeing herself from constraints in terms of style, subject matter and arrangement, she allowed moods and thoughts, both personal and collective, to inspire each song.
The fourth song Toss & Turn on the record is a real gem. I like the acoustic melodies. Besides, the vocals are sublime. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the amazing harmonies and soulful elements.
Lyrically, the song has a lot of depth. Toss & Turn is based on that feeling when you’re trying to get to sleep at night but your mind won’t switch off – you just keep tossing and turning.
Parisa’s music showcases her artistry. She always delivers. The North London based artist is iconic.
