The second song If This Ain’t You on the mini-album is a real gem. I like the soulful grooves. Besides, the vocals are top-notch. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the solid hooks and amazing harmonies.
Lyrically, the song has a lot of depth. Alichè writing skills are next level.
Speaking about the track, Alichè says: “I waisted a lot of time seeking approval through external achievements, people’s praises and passively living life without real purpose. It’s so easy to get lost in a box, confined by society’s values, where we feel out of place and suffocated. I had so many questions, fuelled by a need to find myself behind the mask I was wearing. It wasn’t until I started to focus on the internal that I saw a clear path of how I wanted to live, the people I wanted around me, and the music I needed to speak through. I wrote this song not only for myself, but for the loved ones around me, to show acceptance of it all and to support them finding peace in their own skin.”
Alichè always makes good music. If This Ain’t You deserves all the attention. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
