Malaysian-born songwriter Kaisha has begun to tease her debut EP Something Else with a dreamy new single, Ready Set Go.
The song sounds so good. I like the smooth melodies. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the solid hooks and amazing harmonies.
Lyrically, the song has a lot of depth. It’s about the mundane day to day life, and finding a way to deal with it in a new light.
Speaking about the track, Kaisha says: ”This track was inspired by a time where I really struggled with my musical identity. I lacked kindness to myself which nearly made me fall out of love with music. I think everyone can relate to the idea of feeling like they’re in a race. In this day and age, it’s impossible to not compare your journey with others. The harsh reality is that there’s always going to be someone better than you, but once you accept that and focus your energy on yourself, the story becomes more about you and less about them.”
