The song has a surreal quality. I like the quirky pop melodies. Besides, the hooks are solid. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the sublime vocals and uplifting elements.
Lyrically, the song has a lot of depth. Love For The Lonely sees Thompson exploring the difficulty of sticking with a relationship for the right reasons despite feeling self-destructive.
The single is accompanied by a music video, which is shot by Jasmine and her roommate in their London apartment with the remote help of director Jack Munsch.
