Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
Belgian artist Carla Stark recently released a music video for I would I Could.
The song has a surreal quality. I like the unique grooves. Besides, the melodies are impressive. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the powerful vocals and classical elements.
Lyrically, Carla delivers. Her writing skills are on point.
Speaking about the track, she states: ”This song is about those moments in life when you know you have to let go of something, but you also accept that you don’t want to. It’s okay to not always be strong enough to do the right thing straight away, it’s okay to admit that even though we know that something (or in this case someone) is not good for us, we still want to hold on a little bit longer, and right now during the lockdown, I think everyone is feeling like we should have held on to a lot of things that we might have let go of too easily (or we should have gotten rid of stuff that we are still carrying). In any which case, it talks about the complete normal feeling of not being on top of the game all the time.”
The video really captures the essence of the song. Visually it looks incredible.
”I never shot a music video for I would if I could and talking to a friend a few weeks ago I told him “you know that if I could meet you I would right?” and it just inspired me to call up my friends and family all over the world and make this collaborative/lyrics/confinement/homemade music video, with the help of my secret weapon Sitanshu Datta who is a beautiful editor and turned it into this amazing music video,’‘ says Carla.
The artist’s music connects with the universe. Her creativity is next level.
