Following a brilliant year playing Sofar Sounds West coast Tour; as well as support from The Line of Best Fit, The Music Connection, CelebMix and playlisted on VEVO’s “Incoming Pop” playlist, contemporary pop singer-songwriter Anja Kotar returns with the music video for her latest single Tuscany. Anja was inspired to write the track to escape the world’s current climate. Tuscany is a slice of summer, and a window to a better place.
The song sounds so good. I like the smooth guitar work. Besides, the hooks are memorable. Furthermore, I’m also a fan of the delicate vocals and unique grooves.
Lyrically, Anja shines. She’s captivating from start to finish.
The artist started writing Tuscany after the LA lockdown was announced. Speaking more on this Anja stated: “I wrote Tuscany on a typical quarantine night when we were FaceTiming my grandparents in Slovenia. We were talking about the crazy world we live in right now, the long-lasting impact this will have on our lives and how summer vacation could potentially play out. The song started to form in my head – I wanted to write something about spending the end of the world in Tuscany, daydreaming the troubled reality away.”
The music video really captures the spirit of the song. Visually, it looks incredible.
Anja makes real art. Her creativity has no end.
The song is a modern masterpiece in my opinion. It deserves 5 stars.
