Multi-instrumentalist Danny Addison first emerged in 2019 with unique blend of retro-fitted, neo-classical folk inspired by the likes of Kadhja Bonet, Moses Sumney and Chet Baker.
He recently released his debut EP Colour Songs.
A highlight is Joy.
The song sounds so good. I like the smooth violin work. Besides, the vocals are sublime. Furthermore, I’m also a fan of the solid hooks and soulful grooves.
Lyrically, Danny delivers. He has his own writing style. Every sentence has depth.
Joy is a song about seeing yourself through the eyes of an ex and how this can change over time.
Danny makes real art. His music speaks for itself.
The song deserves to be heard. It’s a modern masterpiece in my opinion.
You can stream Joy on Spotify!
