Jessy Yasmeen is a Rotterdam based artist, with both Dutch and South American roots. With her dreamy Indie Folk (inspired by acts such as Ben Howard, Bon Iver, and Matt Corby), she wants to challenge listeners to be vulnerable and conquer personal battles like fear and desire.

Yasmeen recently released a new single titled Come Dance. More than her previous TCBYML single, this is pure indie-pop with jazzy, latin dance influences.

The song has a unique quality to it. I like the brilliant guitar work. Besides, the vocals are sublime. Furthermore, I’m also a fan of the amazing rhythms.

Lyrically, Yasmeen delivers. Her words flow with ease.

Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”Come dance is about someone you meet on a sultry summer evening and would like to dance with. That person does not want to dance because he is uncomfortable. With this number you try to convince that person to risk it anyway. You can also see it as a leap into the deep / unknown and can be released and enjoyed.”

Yasmeen creates her own musical world. She makes real art.

The song deserves 5 stars. It’s captivating from start to finish.

Corona caused a sudden surge of inspiration for Jessy and Come Dance is the first single from the soon to be released Isolation Tapes EP.
