Loverboy is a track you can float, dance and cry to.
The song is written, produced and arranged by FILLIPA. She’s multi-talented.
Loverboy sounds so good. I like the modern pop melodies and rhythms. Besides, the vocals are sublime. Furthermore, I’m also a fan of the solid hooks.
Lyrically, FILIPPA delivers. She has an impressive writing style. Her words flow with authenticity.
The track came about during a period in FILIPPAs life where thoughts of and the search for finding her way in life weighed heavy on her. The lyrics for Loverboy practically wrote themselves and it wasn’t until a while later that she figured out what the song was really about.
On the single, the artist says: ”I wrote the song in Los Angeles several years ago but it wasn’t until recently that I felt like revisiting it and giving it new life. Loverboy was created in the partying city full of life, but it is very much an expression of feeling all alone and without proper footing in the world.”
FILIPPA makes real art. The song deserves to be heard. It’s a modern masterpiece in my opinion.
