Estella Dawn is a 23 year old New Zealand born (Kiwi), Colorado based singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Now more than half way into 2020 and Estella is on track to delivering a full length LP by the end of the year. Releasing a single every six weeks has increased an already enthusiastic following along with praise for the songs originality and diversity of styles.
Estella is back as she returns with her new single Filler 2.0.
The song has quirky melodies, stellar vocals, sublime harmonies, solid hooks, smooth guitar work, and pop grooves.
Estella’s lyrics are impressive. She writes with so much depth.
Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”It is frustrating and tiring being in a relationship with someone when they are constantly comparing you to their ex. No matter how hard you try to get them to appreciate you, they can’t seem to let their past go !! When you get out of a relationship it can often leave you feeling quite empty and emotionally drained. Sometimes you’ve got baggage that you should really unpack. Often though it’s easier to jump quickly into a new relationship with someone else just to fill the void, to push all of your internal struggles to the side. But it’s hard to be there for someone if you’re burnt out.
This song is about investing in someone that isn’t healed enough be invested in you.”
Estella continues to deliver good music. Her art speaks for itself. Filler 2.0 deserves 5 stars.
