Be Still For Me, Mallika Vie’s debut single, was a nostalgic tribute to the 60s soul ballads of Otis Redding and Solomon Burke, her two-song album, Since My Baby Said Goodbye is grounded in modern, electronic, synth-driven soul.
She recently released part 1.
The song features powerful vocals, sublime melodies, unique grooves, and brilliant guitar work.
Mallika’s words flow with so much depth. You believe every word she sings.
Part 1 is about the anger, confusion, and sadness of heartbreak. The sadness stems from not having that person by your side anymore, of course, but also from the temporary loss of confidence that comes with rejection.
Mallika creates an atmosphere. She’s one of the best singers out there in the world. Her high notes are spot on.
Since My Baby Said Goodbye (Pt. 1) deserves to be heard. It’s a masterpiece, in my opinion. This is what I call music.
