Inspired by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, and Nick Hakim, Sophie Coran creates Noir & B, a blend of Jazz, R&B, and Soul, with a sense of nostalgia.
She just released her new single I Could Be Your. Produced by Michael Cumming and Logan Roth. Mastered by Barry Grint at Alchemy Mastering.
The song features stellar vocals, smooth harmonies, solid hooks, jarring live strings, brilliant piano work, and a rhythmic groove.
Sophie’s lyrics are impressive. She writes with vulnerability. Every line tells its own story.
”I wrote I Could Be Your during an experience with unrequited love. Oftentimes in my relationships, I become instantly and deeply attached, especially when the other person reciprocates at first. I started to realize, however, that this relationship was not sustainable, no matter how much I wished it were.”
Sophie has so much talent. Her sound is authentic. I Could Be Your deserves 5 stars. Call it a masterpiece.
