Marlene Oak just released her long-awaited debut album.
Northern Winds is the focus track and it’s written together with Niclas Edenholm and recorded in Benny Anderssons studio Riksmixningsverket in Stockholm, Sweden.
Marlene creates musical worlds of emotion. The song features fantastic guitar work, cool grooves, stellar vocals and solid hooks.
Speaking about the album, the artist says: ”There are things I find it difficult to talk about, but with music it all feels right. Writing songs is a way for me to clear my mind and express emotions. Every track on this album has its own story and it’s been a long process for me, to open up and most of all being honest to myself.”
Marlene’s music speaks to the soul. Northern Winds deserves 5 stars. I’d call it a masterpiece.
