Rachel Rose, Connecticut born, Austin launched, and Brooklyn-based soul singer/songwriter, draws influence from the great Lianne La Havas, Nai Palm, Amy Winehouse, Linda Ronstadt, and Billie Holiday.
She just released How Does It Feel, the second single off of her upcoming EP.
The song features outstanding vocals, deep melodies, soulful sounds, and memorable hooks.
Rachel’s lyrics are impressive. She writes with emotion and feeling. Every line has a special meaning.
”How Does It Feel begins at the end of a broken love affair. The repetitive mantra represents an insomniac’s inner monologue. It attempts to rationalize, deny, and romanticize what it truly feels like to be loved in a relationship, when in fact, the relationship is filled with miscommunication, contempt, and apathy,” comments Rachel.
The video captures the essence of the song. It was directed by Julian Brooks.
Rachel continues to deliver good music. She creates worlds. How Does It Feel deserves 5 stars. Iconic piece of work.
