LA-based artist Jordi Up Late shares her debut single Facts, off of her upcoming EP that’s due out later this year. Indie88 premiered the track alongside a lyric video, animated by RISD graduate Jordi herself.
Facts is a fantastic piece of work. Jordi captivates listeners with unique melodies, sublime vocals, groovy rhythms, dreamy sounds, and solid hooks.
Lyrically, she’s talented. Her lyrics are impressive. Every line tells its own story.
“Facts is about pleading to someone you love, who can’t see the potential of a relationship because they are caught up in shallow fantasy. It’s about being able to see past flaws to the bigger picture and a deeper understanding of one another. The surreal nature of the artwork and the lyric video reflects the loneliness and confinement of losing out to someone else’s expectations while also being able to see the potential through the window.”
Jordi has so much talent. She makes really good music. Facts deserves 5 stars. I’d call it a masterpiece.
