Ten years after she burst onto the scene as a child singing sensation, Chicago born Maddi Jane is back in a big way with her glittering pop track FaceTiming Mom.
What am intriguing piece of work. Maddi captivates listeners with sublime vocals, warm piano melodies, glittering pop rhythms, and solid hooks.
Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”This single is such a great way to close out a really hard chapter. This song is basically a journal entry I have learned so much from. Most importantly how to keep your family close, have compassion on yourself, and realizing that some people DO love you well. It’s a song of hope and healing even tho it’s a sad story. Sometimes I think “I should be writing happier music” but life is difficult and art that is real is sometimes better than what’s optimistic. And the story isn’t over. Jesus got me through and he has good plans for all those who reach out to him.”
Maddi makes really good music. Artistically, she’s brilliant. FaceTiming Mom deserves to be heard.
