Dazey returns with the highly anticipated second single from her forthcoming three track, Barney Lister produced debut EP.
Hallway sounds so good. Fantastic piece of work. The song features unique melodies, sublime vocals, soothing harmonies, and cool rhythms.
Lyrically, Dazey remains as thoughtful as ever. She’s poetic in her writing. Every line has meaning.
Speaking about the track, the artist says: “Sometimes there is no escaping the negative voices in your head, but they will pass, and come back, and pass again. Hallway is about fluidity of emotions and building a home within yourself (with sick checkered floors) to support you through the uncertainties of life. I wrote it as an exercise to get out of writing sad songs, but as time went on, the meaning of the song served as a template of how to navigate difficult experiences.”
Dazey creates worlds. Her music speaks to the soul. Hallway deserves 5 stars.
