Vancouver-born, guitarist, koto player, vocalist and songwriter JESSA recently released her debut album, Simple Songs.
One of the highlights is Not for You. The song features unique guitar melodies, sublime vocals, moody strings and memorable hooks.
Speaking about the track, JESSA says: ”This song was written in the moments after realizing that things would just never be to work out between us, even though the spark and the fire were bigger than we’d ever felt before.”
JESSA makes really good music. Not for You deserves 5 stars. Every sound and word has a purpose. Iconic piece of work.
