From the small town of Mullingar to performing at Tomorrowland, the last year has seen Irish singer-songwriter Flynn go from struggling artist to pop star on the rise. Putting his life lessons into words, Flynn creates music that’s driven by pulsating electronic undercurrents.
He just released a new single titled B-Side.
It’s a fantastic piece of work. The song features solid melodies, powerful vocals, catchy pop sounds, groovy rhythms, and unique hooks.
Lyrically, Flynn remains as insightful as ever. He writes with depth. B-Side has a captivating story.
This song is about being cheated on but, despite that being a harsh lesson, letting it go and having no hard feelings; Instead of letting it break your heart… sing, dance and party those unhappy vibes away.
Directed by Simon Lane, whose credits included Foals, Rudimental, Disclosure and Justice, the one-shot video follows Flynn around a big derelict house in West London from daylight to evening encountering various musicians and characters in different rooms as he roams around.
“We shot the video in an abandoned hotel in Lancaster Gate”, Flynn explains. “I didn’t really know what to expect because it all happened very last minute but as soon as I saw the place I knew it would perfect. I’ve also learned that one-shot videos aren’t as easy to pull off as they look! Working with Simon and the rest of the crew made things really easy, they were all incredible on the day!”
Flynn continues to deliver good music. B-Side will get stuck in your head for days. Iconic song.
