It’s a song like no other. Cosie’s emotions speak out loudly. These lyrics are deep.
Somebody Else is a melancholic tune that is about realizing that the person you loved was actually very different. It has been put together with a lot of care and attention for detail. Written in a bedroom, initially conceived for piano and voice and then recorded in a studio, the song is influenced mainly by Låpsley, Billie Eilish, and BANKS. The warm synth notes and the gloomy piano create a nostalgic atmosphere that conveys the sense of loss and resentment that Cosie felt writing this song.
Cosie is artistic in a different way. She’s so expressive. Every line makes sense.
