Conor Albert and Alice Auer first met in 2019 after Alice reached out to Conor on Instagram. They quickly established a creative partnership as well as a firm friendship, bonding over a love of classic jazz and contemporary beat-driven music. Smile is the first single to be taken from a forthcoming collaborative EP (set for release in early 2021).
This song is repeat worthy. It’s catchy, but also insightful. Conor and Alice have their own way of writing music, very inspiring. They embrace the idea of living in the present, with the listener urged to “just smile”. That’s a great message. We need to keep that mindset.
