Canadian artist Kiesza releases new EP Dark Tales via her own label Zebra Spirit Tribe, rounding out an extremely productive 2020 for the pop-icon. All songs are really good. Definitely a modern classic.
Chainsaw Melody is the fourth track on the EP. It’s an uplifting ballad. Kiesza combines powerhouse vocals with melodious instrumentation, creating unique music. True brilliance. The lyrics are impressive, so thoughtfully written.
Dark Tales is the epitome of Kiesza’s comeback; A life-changing car crash rendered Kiesza incapable of performing live, and potentially ever walking again, forcing her to take a two-year hiatus. This body of work is one Kiesza has been eager to share. Kiesza says: ”Dark Tales is the key to my Pandora’s Box, unlocking my eccentricities, my pain and inner darkness that I often experience, but don’t always feel vulnerable enough to share. Songs from this EP come from different points in time through my journey thus far, and I’ve been eager to share them with the world. I’m ecstatic that they’re finally ready to be unleashed.”
