Leeds’ own up-and-coming pop artist Agi drops debut single Crying Past Midnight, produced by Benjamin Casey. It takes influences from genres such as Indie Pop and Indietronica. With distinctive vocals and rich melodies, Agi showcases her versatile. The lyrics are captivating, fit the music well.
Agi explains: ”This song is about an inevitable breakdown of a relationship. I treated it almost like a conversation that I would want to have with the other person. Even when we’re both hurting, it’s about still being full of love and passion and wanting to lift the other person up so they don’t suffer.”
Crying Past Midnight marks only the beginning of Agi’s journey. Definitively one of my favorite releases of last week. Listen below!
