Singer/songwriter Eliza Harrison Smith shares her self titled debut EP, including lead single Parallel Lines. She creates a sound that’s reminiscent of Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, and Maggie Rogers. Distinctive vocals are accompanied by acoustic guitar and other instruments. The song’s lyrics are well-written.
Eliza comments: ”I had sat down to write one day and heard the phrase Parallel Lines, and pretty much pictured the whole song right away, like a movie in my head. I think after a breakup when you’re missing someone, you hope they’re missing you and hurting just as much as you are. I loved the idea of writing about two people being physically far apart but going through the same motions, feeling the same things, and living in parallel lines.”
