22-year old, New York City-based singer/songwriter and college dropout Jacqueline Hackett recently unveiled her new single, titled The Rest of the World Could See. The sound is a little nostalgic, but modern in approach. You’ll get a glimpse of Hackett’s world. She combines strong vocals with a mix of Indie Rock and Folk instrumentation. Listeners are able to connect so easily with the lyrics because of their unfiltered aspect.
Rest of the World Could See is a slow-burning testament to the all-encompassing feeling of being haunted by the past, when trying to forget someone only makes the memories come back in full force and soon, you are reminded of the past in almost everything around you.
